Nigeria is truly not safe — insecurity and strange happenings are everywhere on the continent. But yesterday, I witnessed the saving power of God with my own eyes.
I was craving some assorted pepper soup and decided to stop by a live poultry store. Just two blocks before the shop, a man was walking towards me, talking to himself. I paid little attention until he suddenly tried to pounce on me.
In that moment of fear, the only word that came out of my mouth was, “Jesus!” 🙏🏾
By His mercy, I escaped unharmed. The man kept walking, still talking to himself, but God had already taken control.
This was a reminder that only God is our true protector in times of danger.
