one year ago we celebrated our love in our favorite place with our favorite people. Still feels like a dream 🤍

Almost a year ago, we invited a small group of our family and friends to celebrate our elopement in this valley. We shuttled them out to one of our favorite dirt roads, “in the middle of nowhere,” they would likely tell you.

A lonely dirt road that holds so many quiet memories for us, a little piece of the world we know we can escape to whenever we need the silence of the desert. Some may see just a dirt road, but this spot will always be special to us, something our words and photos can’t quite capture. Sharing that evening here, under the stars, with our loved ones from all over the country has made it even more meaningful, and it is a memory that will live forever in our hearts!

This feels like a birthday trip hack! 👉🏽 Swipe to the end for the two locations we stayed at. We recommend both! Super friendly hosts, great wine, and beautiful views of the lakes.

We had the most relaxing two days in the Finger Lakes. We visited Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake and did a little winery & brewery hopping for my birthday. We made the last minute decision to do a Harvest Hosts birthday trip because we didn’t feel like booking hotels, or Airbnb’s, and wanted to bring Ru with us of course! All in all, it was a fantastic birthday, and checked all the boxes for me. I wanted to relax, not have a ton of plans, have good views, and drink some good wine

This would be such a great trip idea in the fall if you’re chasing fall colors in the northeast this year with your camper!
