Big News! 📢

Spirit Bridge Studio is competing in the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity Dragon Boat Race with our very own 17 person team!

Led by our Director and 3 year B*H Ambassador, Ben Barter, we’re going for gold to raise as much as we can for the kids and families at B*H. Our mascot, Bucky the Unicorn Bear, will even be there to help!

Our talented 2D artists are hard at work creating the scenes for the Bucky the Unicorn Bear intro animation. From mysterious dungeons to overflowing treasure, we can’t wait to show you all the weird and wonderful corners of this land!

What’s going on here!? 😲

We have a massive love for the craft of pixel art at Spirit Bridge Studio, so we couldn’t resist exploring what our own Bucky the Unicorn Bear would look like in a classic retro style. This is just a little run cycle test, but… we think he’s onto something.

On Friday 20th of June, at Coombe Abbey, we gathered not just to mourn but to celebrate the life of a remarkable man, Alan Dyer.

Alan Dyer was the Chairman and Director of the Coventry Canal Basin Trust, University Lecture and a talented professional artist. He built the Coventry Canal Basin Trust with the vision to help artists have creative studios/spaces to develop in their professional careers.

Alan wasn’t just our landlord. He was a father figure, a mentor, a friend, and a relentless supporter of the arts.

His belief in our mission helped shape Spirit Bridge Studio. He gave us more than space, he gave us purpose, community, and a place to call home in the Canal Basin Warehouse.

Alan, if you’re watching, know this, your dream lives on. Alison will carry your torch, and we promise to stand by her every step of the way.

Your legacy is now ours to protect, nurture, and grow.
