Tijdens het Grachtenfestival cureert INI Movement twee muzikale ontmoetingen waarin improvisatie, live performance en clubcultuur samenkomen.

Op 16 augustus presenteert INI de nieuwe editie van Estafête in de Rode Hoed: een doorlopende set waarin de DJ een track start en de band het live overneemt – en omgekeerd. Met o.a. Makèz, Shamis, Ina Seidou, en muzikanten van Radiohop & LIKEMINDS.

Did you know Shamis was once the scratching legend DJ PCM AKA Pitch Controller Mitch? After touring the world with Pete Philly & Perquisite, Pitch Controller Mitch began producing his own music and developed a musician’s craft for composition with the DJ’s knack for arrangement. Soon after he began producing for a long range of this industry’s best artist, he started INI Movement with .bissa and seamlessly transformed into the soulful sunshine you might know as Shamis with productions with Eva Lazarus, Rilan & The Bombardiers, Rebiere n more.

Our sun .life , continues his artistic evolution tomorrow, with the first single off his very first album, Strange Lights ✨

The Ugali Disco EP!
Four uptempo East African-flavoured songs crafted for sweaty dance floors, shaking creatures and those ‘high on life’ moments.

Ugali Disco features some of Kenya’s seasoned, eclectic musicians and vocalists: Udulele, Muhonja, Kuiyu, Steve Biko, and is produced by Dutch duo: UMOJA.

The tracks are full of addictive grooves, laced with catchy and quirky vocals carried by deep benga basslines, some proper sebene peaking, and feature Michel Ongaro’s magic guitar fingers.
