Disney’s latest cinematic misadventure—a woke, feminist Snow White without much prince or dwarfs—has belly-flopped at the box office with all the grace of a lead balloon. Even the card-carrying progressive film critics, usually first in line to cheerlead anything with a hashtag and a cause, are scratching their heads, muttering, “What in the name of Mickey’s ghost was Disney smoking?”
One reviewer, clearly choking on the irony, pointed out that the Mouse House reimagined Snow White as a “modern-empowered woman”—only to churn out a character so cynical, self-righteous, and insufferable she could star in a TED Talk parody. No Prince Charming, no dwarfs, no true love’s kiss, and—brace yourself—not even a whisper of whiteness for Snow errr…Backhair. It’s less a fairy tale and more a corporate diversity seminar gone off the rails.
The lesson? Go woke, go broke—and watch your overpriced reboot sink faster than a streaming subscription in a recession. Disney’s execs might want to dust off the old playbook before they’re left preaching to an empty theater.
