Loretta Jane Swit
November 4, 1937 – May 30, 2025

Although she had appeared in episodes of many hit television series such as Mannix, Bonanza, Hawaii Five-0, Mission Impossible, Gun Smoke, Love American Style, Ironside, Love Boat and yes even The Muppet Show, this Passaic, New Jersey born actress will always best be known for her portrayal of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan of the 4077th MASH unit on one of the longest running and most successful sitcoms in TV history. A role she was awarded two Emmys for while the show itself won many overall. Sadly Miss Swit passed away of natural causes much earlier today at her residence in New York. Thanks for all those memories Loretta. You will always be fondly remembered.

Robert Flack, songstress of the iconic seventies hit "Killing Me Softly With His Song" has passed away sadly.

If you remember the song it is the shining vestige of a golden era of music long gone by. Miss Flack's voice in this song when played on the radio still reverberates with women everywhere. It still makes men everywhere blurt the all too familiar remark, "they just don't write 'em like that anymore."

No they sure don't Miss Flack. Thank you.

Flack’s music was introduced to a new generation thanks to the Fugees and Lauryn Hill, whose cover of "Killing Me Softly With His Song" topped the charts in 1996.
