the square. Tammy Roberts, who assisted Jessica Brassfield, PMHNP, in organizing the event, said she was “blown away by the crowd.” Brassfield is establishing a mental health practice in the area. Check out Wednesday's Bloomfield Democrat in print or online at www.bdemo.com for more.

The four members of the Davis County Ministerial Association are frustrated by the increasing poverty they are witnessing in Davis County and the lack of financial resources and volunteers to help alleviate the problem. Jacob Sandholm of Christ Community Church, Don Naftz of Bloomfield Christian Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Jeff Cummings of Pulaski Mennonite Church, and Freddy Finley of Grace Pointe Nazarene Church all agree: “We want to help, but we are having to turn people away because we don’t have the resources.” The pastors say there is a high increase in the number of people needing help with utilities, food, and gas. The reasons range from losing a job, to losing a spouse, surgery or medical issues, to domestic violence.
