BRAVE Combat Federation made history at BRAVE CF 108 by bringing modern mixed martial arts into one of the world's most enduring monuments to combat.

On Saturday, September 5, the Bahrain-based promotion staged its event at P**a Arena in Croatia, becoming the first major global MMA organization to hold a fight card inside a Roman amphitheater.

Nearly 2,000 years after the historic structure was built, its ancient walls once again surrounded a spectacle of combat. The weapons and customs of the Roman era were long gone, replaced by gloves, unified rules, and the technical sophistication of modern MMA.

Yet the spirit of the arena remained.

P**a Arena is one of the six largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. Built for massive crowds and grand spectacles, the imposing structure provided a remarkable setting for BRAVE CF's "Modern Gladiators" theme.

“Our ethos is about elevating the experience of watching live sport while honoring the past,” BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid said.

“P**a Arena allowed us to connect the heritage of combat with modern MMA and give fans an experience that could not be replicated in a conventional venue.”

That connection came to life through an international cast of fighters, including former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, who made his highly anticipated return after three years away from competition.

STEPHEN LOMAN’S RETURN LEADS BRAVE CF 108’S FREE PHILIPPINE BROADCAST

Filipino fight fans will have free access to one of BRAVE Combat Federation’s most anticipated events of the year as BRAVE CF 108 arrives live in the Philippines on Sunday morning.

The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion will stream the event for free on the official BRAVE CF YouTube channel, with local viewers able to watch the action beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday, September 6.

Taking place at the historic P**a Arena in Croatia, the card features the long-awaited competitive return of Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, who faces Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event.

The bout brings Loman back to the organization where he established himself as one of its most accomplished fighters.

Since making his BRAVE CF debut at the maiden event in September 2016, the Lions Nation MMA representative has remained perfect under the promotion’s banner, collecting six victories in as many appearances.

“The Sniper” enters his comeback with a 17-3 professional record, including six knockout victories and two submissions.

Stephen “The Sniper” Loman is officially set to make his long-awaited return to competition when he faces Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 108 on Saturday, September 5, at the historic P**a Arena in Croatia.

Loman weighed in at 62 kilograms, narrowly exceeding the allowable bantamweight limit of 61.7 kilograms. Abramishvili weighed 61.7 kilograms on his second attempt. The three-round matchup will proceed at a catchweight, with the Filipino mixed martial artist giving up 15 percent of his purse.

The bout marks Loman’s return to the promotion, where he established himself as one of the most successful athletes in BRAVE CF history.

Stephen “The Sniper” Loman is taking cues from an athlete who is rewriting history in Philippine sports.

As he prepares for his long-awaited return in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 108 on Saturday, September 5, the former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion is drawing inspiration from tennis sensation Alex Eala, whose breakthrough on the international stage has given Filipinos another reason to dream big.

Eala has become one of the Philippines’ most celebrated athletes after breaking new ground throughout her rapid ascent. She became the first Filipino to enter the WTA Top 100 in 2025 before climbing into the Top 20, highlighted by her historic singles triumph at the Mubadala D.C. Open this past August.

Her journey has included victories over Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula, further establishing her reputation as one of the sport’s most promising talents.

For Loman, however, Eala’s appeal extends beyond the records and milestones.

The former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion will face No. 1-ranked divisional contender Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 108, which takes place live from the historic P**a Arena in Croatia on Saturday, September 5.

Joining Loman for the pivotal assignment are Filipino mixed martial arts icon Eduard "The Landslide" Folayang and BRAVE CF alumnus Jeremy TheJuggernaut Pacatiw.

“I’m happy that I’ll be with them. I really need people who truly understand my game and have been with me throughout camp. It’s good because they can see the adjustments I need to make in the fight,” Loman said.

AMIL TUTIĆ EARNS COMBAT SPORTS LEGEND’S NOD AS BALKAN MMA’S NEXT STAR

Amil Tutić is beginning to attract the kind of attention that can reshape the trajectory of a promising career.

The Bosnian prospect has already made an impression, but one of the Balkan region's most celebrated combat sports figures believes his ceiling could be even higher.

Tutić will have another opportunity to build on that momentum on September 5 when he faces hometown favorite Ivan Kiš in a three-round super welterweight bout on the supporting card of BRAVE CF 108 at the legendary P**a Arena in Croatia.

Miran “Slo Rocky” Fabjan will be among those watching closely.

The Slovenian veteran was recently asked on a podcast who he believes could emerge as the next flag-bearer of Balkan mixed martial arts following his own colorful career in kickboxing and MMA.

His answer was Tutić.

“Amil Tutić, probably. He has that feeling... He has something about him,” Fabjan stated.

The endorsement carries added weight because Fabjan has shared the mats with the young Bosnian and has seen firsthand the qualities that are beginning to set him apart from the region's rising contingent.

The 21-year-old has competed across the welterweight and super welterweight divisions while representing Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His combat sports foundation was forged in kickboxing, where he competed extensively in point fighting and low kick under the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations.

Since transitioning into the all-encompassing sport, Tutić has broadened his repertoire by incorporating Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo-based grappling. That blend has produced a multifaceted arsenal, allowing him to pose threats both on the feet and on the canvas.

Now, Tutić heads into BRAVE CF 108 with another chance to build on that ascent.
