Sunshine certainly makes a difference in our disposition! And we wonder if this great blue heron basking in the sun along the shore of the DuPage River near Hillside Road is the same one we saw along the Riverwalk the other day when it was cloudy.

Congratulations, Florida & Houston, for quite a game of champions. What a finish! In the end, Florida wins the Men's NCAA Championship by 2 points, 65-63. The playoffs were a rush of squeakers. Fun to watch. Boiler Up!

While it's on our mind... Sometime when you're walking by the Riverwalk Amphitheater, turn into the labyrinth & quietly follow the winding path to the center for moments of peaceful reflection. When finished, you'll have walked 120 yards—the length of a football field—right there in the design that is a replica of the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral in France.

It's spring. More than 30 Naperville parks can expect maintenance crews to conduct prescribed ground-level burns such as the ones neighbors watched on Friday at May Watts Park. From a distance we imagined a musician with a tuba filled with roses. Up close, we counted dozens of roses without a tuba. Then the floral designer explained the roses created a one-of-a-kind bouquet for someone special. Over at Fredenhagen Park the forsythia reminded us of another joke in the spirit of April Fools...

During last Tuesday's mtg. of the Riverwalk Planning, Development & Construction (PDC) Committee, attendees heard complaints about too many bicyclists on the Riverwalk. Some Riverwalkers have suggested more signs. Folks, please help spread the word about Naperville rules to "Dismount & Walk." Simply direct bicyclists to signs already strategically placed high & low along the brick path. Thank you.
