On Sunday, August 01 2021 a local community group (Spirit of Pentecost, TSOC, No Frills & Kebab Factory ) in collaboration with stakeholders (Peel Crime Stoppers &Boots on the Ground) hosted a FREE community BBQ to recognize PEEL
frontline heroes (First Responders, Health Care, Public Transit, Grocery stores, Teachers, Transportation, Factories, Restaurants, and more).

Guests enjoyed Hot Dogs, Kebabs, Samosas, and Soft Drinks. The weather
held up and everyone enjoyed a day filled with songs, laughter, games, and
refreshments. Families were also treated to a visit by the ice cream truck.
Honourable guests including Brampton Patrick Brown and Caledon
Mayor, Allan Thompson were in attendance. Best wishes were received
from Peel Chair, Nando Iannicca, Mississauga Mayor, Bonnie Crombie and
Dr. Lawrence Loh.

A local Mississauga faith group (Spirit of Pentecost) presented a
donation of PPE (20,000 Face Masks + 360 Hand Sanitizer Bottles) to a Toronto long term care centre ( Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care 頤康中心) in cooperation with local stakeholders and community leaders. This is a goodwill gesture intended to help protect the vulnerable members in our communities and as an expression of solidarity to stand up against anti-Asian racism.
