We are sad to hear of the recent passing of Dr Angela Hobart, who served for many years on the Editorial Board of Indonesia and the Malay World. An anthropologist, her research was primarily focused on Balinese shadow theatre. In addition to her most well known book Dancing Shadows of Bali: Theatre and Myth (1987) she published numerous other works on Bali, theatre and performance. Rest in peace, Angela.
