A man of the people has won.

And yes, it is a mayoral race.
But the real victory is what it revealed back to us.
That the horizon is not fixed.
That what we believed was impossible was only waiting for us to remember our power.

He stood against capitalism, Trump, AIPAC and the genocidal actions of Israel.
He stood without bowing to the billionaires who try to purchase our futures.
He did not bend his voice to make it comfortable for the gatekeepers.
He made millions of people who have systemically been silenced, erased, and discarded feel seen.

We just watched grassroots organizing break through the oldest scaffolding of fear and profit.
We watched the myth of inevitability crack.
We watched the story change in real time.

He reminded us that the systems of oppression disguised as democracy can be undone.
He showed us that you can stand with Palestine and still win.

I woke up this morning and smiled. It felt like the universe gave us a wink and said…

Keep going.
