Sitting here on my deck in my glider swing, I noticed a reflection on the deck flooring that was holding the freshly fallen rain, reflecting a marvelous blue sky, soft white clouds and the beautiful trees. I was taken to the thought of this scripture:

2 Corinthians 3:17–18 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

We sing the Brandon Lake song frequently at church, “Show me your glory…show me your face….” Why do we sing such words? Maybe because the Word of God says:

1 John 3:2 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

I just want Him. I just want to be a reflection of His love, His charity, His grace, His forgiveness, His patience, and His kindness. I want to be like Him. I want to be a reflection of His nature and character in every facet of my life.

Let’s reflect on that thought. And when you see a beautiful reflection in a pool, a pond, a lake, or even a deck covered in rain water, imagine your life reflecting Christ Jesus every single day. Amen
