Chevrolet's Colorado ZH2 Is A Beast - See Photosautos

Chevrolet's team said that they were building a "crazy" Colorado pickup truck for the Army, that didn't exactly sell on the adjective. But now that I think we ought to take back those hesitations. This thing is awesome.

If you're looking at this and thinking, "This is not a Colorado," you're right, it's not a production-spec Colorado. Its frame is stretched, and the whole thing measures more than 6.5 feet tall and more than 7 feet wide. It rides on 37-inch off-road tires, and the suspension's been modified for a more rugged terrain, as well.

The Colorado ZH2 (H2 as in hydrogen) is a one-off concept for the US Army, built in conjunction with the US Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). Its goal is to prove the capabilities of hydrogen fuel-cell technology in areas where the Army would operate.

To achieve that goal, it utilizes a component called an Exportable Power Take-Off unit, which allows the truck to create electricity that can then be used away from the vehicle, in places where a grid hookup isn't exactly common -- say, the middle of the desert.

The US Army will also use the truck to evaluate its silent operating ability and reduced thermal signatures. There are also practical applications for its instantaneous and ample torque (thanks, electric motors) and low fuel consumption. And since the only byproduct is water, the Army will also look into using that water in the field.

This truck won't benefit just the Army. Chevrolet will get valuable research information from this, as well, because it's not like the automaker has the time and money to go off and play Army in the desert. To date, Chevrolet says its hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles have driven more than 3.1 million miles, and this new concept should add plenty more -- albeit not on traditional roads.

This New Lexus Car Interior Design Seems A Little Bit Complicated -autos

Nobody certainly wants to crack his/her head against that A-pillar in an accident.

Some concept cars aren't afraid to get weird. The Lexus UX Concept, debuting at the Paris Motor Show this month, is definitely weird.I haven't seen much of the outside, but Lexus gave a peek inside, and let me tell you, I have no idea what's going on.

The UX Concept represents some proper forward thinking on Lexus' part, largely because most of the interior's unique touches are currently way too expensive to mass-produce. The instrument cluster features a transparent globe that displays information. The center console has a hologram-style display for the climate controls.

It only gets weirder from there...somehow. The windows are like those on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, changing opacity with electricity. The A-pillars are finned, which has to violate crash standards. Cameras have replaced the mirrors, and there's a removable sound bar in front of the passenger. It's like the designers dropped acid before brainstorming. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Clearly, none of this has any basis in reality, and any Lexus model based off the UX concept will be much more down to earth. Nevertheless, kudos to the automaker for actually getting weird with it, and we can't wait to see it in Paris.

There's no room for anything else on the bike,so it's hard to use for your daily means of transport , but just think how fast you'd ride to work on the Aerovelo Eta which just set a new record for the World's Fastest Human-Powered vehicle reaching 89.59 miles per hour. That's faster than you're legally allowed to drive on most highways.

The record was broken at the World Human Powered Speed Challenge held in Battle Mountain, Nevada, but the Eta was in no way assisted by a downhill grade. Hitting 89.59 miles per hour was made possible by the skill and stamina of pilot Todd Reichert, who also happens to be one of Aerovolo's co-founders, as well as the technological improvements made to the bike.

The Eta might possibly be the most uncomfortable-looking recumbent bike imaginable, but its low center of gravity, razor-thin tires, lightweight frame, and bullet-like outer housing help minimize rolling friction and wind resistance.

In fact, the amount of pedaling energy needed to reach that record-breaking speed was roughly equivalent to how much power you'd need to illuminate three light bulbs. Maybe we should just give up on the idea of electric cars altogether and start pedaling everywhere we need to go instead.

How To Hack A Wifi Password With Your Android Phoneandroid

"I ate 3 plates of beans (which I know I shouldn't).
When I got to my fiance's place for dinner, he seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly "Darling I have a surprise for you tonight."
He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinning table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the telephone rang.
He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he
returned and went to answer the call. The beans I had consumed was still affecting me and the
pressure was becoming unbearable, so while my fiance was out of the room I seized the
opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a garbage dump! I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other leg, I ripped off three more.
The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the
conversation in the other room,I went on releasing atomic bombs like this for another few
minutes. The preasure was
indescribable!
Eventually the telephone
farewells signalled the end of my freedom, so I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself.
My face must have been the picture of innocence when my fiance returned, apologising for taking so long. He asked me if I
had peeped through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not.
At this point, he removed the blindfold. To my utmost surprise, twelve dinner guests including his Mum and Dad were seated around the table, with hand holding their noses.....
