Achieving Cinematic Excellence.

Cinema is an art form that is untouched by any medium. SW Films was created by Stefon Whitaker, out of a small town in north-eastern Indiana. Stefon was influenced by a vast amount of things from his childhood and teen years. The biggest influence to Stefon’s creativity and love of filmmaking was the 1954 feature, ‘Godzilla’. The film spawned something amazing inside of his mind; the creation of the miniature sets, the suits of the monsters and the overall metaphor of the film itself. As the years went on, Stefon started watching many different cartoons, anime and played tons of video games. This triggered even more creativity in him, and from that he began to actually create stories of his own.
Once our CEO was out of high school, he attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. He went through a vigorous 2 year bachelor program where he learned each and every phase of the “filmmaking process”. From there, he held the idea of creating his own production company close to his mind and his heart. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production and moved back to his hometown in Indiana.
Since the beginning of 2016, Stefon has been on a mission. A long and tough process to create amazing visual content to bring to people’s attention, whether it’s mainstream or an abstract art-piece, the mission is to show our audience Cinematic Excellence.
