Baldwin County has experienced four drownings in 2025, with two occurring in Lake Sinclair and two in the Oconee River. Unfortunately, none of the four victims were wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD). We urge everyone enjoying our waterways in Baldwin County to wear a PFD, regardless of swimming proficiency. The Oconee Greenway offers a Life Jacket Loaner station where you can borrow a PFD if you don't have one or forgot yours. Please help prevent further drownings by wearing a PFD.

It's s**g night! The Lake Oconee S**g Club will dance at the Bruzze Brewery tonight. Beginners can learn the basic s**g steps 6-7pm, then the dancing fun begins and lasts till 9pm. Only $5 cover. Every 1st Wednesday. See comments for Lakelife's story on this club and dance.

Some good news for the thousands of people who travel GA-44 each day! ๐
Coming in the next few months to Lake Oconee PKWY. These right passing lanes will help keep traffic moving where left turns are being made. This will help with the timing of the traffic lights by not having huge gaps in traffic. It will not be a cure all, but it will help!!
