As we reach this autumn equinox as well as enjoying our rewards of this first harvest, let us acknowledge Mabon ap Modron who's name is often memtioned. He who was taken away at three days old and imprisoned deep in the River Severn sought out as he was the only one who could hunt the dog Drudwyn, who was needed to hunt Twrch Trwyth.

This is a notice I've put in in the Burning Witch Festival page. But I'd you're reading this, please spread the word.

BAP, MERMAIDS and DAGDA have been chosen to protect everybody.

If anyone feels unsafe at any point please be reassured that you can go to BAP or DAGDA for protection. You can also find the mermaid stall and ask, "Is there a Mermaid here" and you will immediately be given discreet assistance. Even if the person you are worried about is standing right next to you.

It has come to our attention that BAP, (Bikers Against Paedofiles) are homophobic, anti gay, anti transe. This is ABSOLUTELY not the case. They work up and down the country with children giving support to victims. All victims. And this includes our lovely LGBTQIA+ community.

And we wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm a little fatigued at the moment so every few days I will pick a large piece of mugwort and some lavender and make one of these bad boys! It gets me out of the house and into the garden for exercise and fresh air.

Hmm, bad boys? although lavender is masculine, the mugwort is most definitely female.

I'm normally quite a bad witch and just make my smudging sticks by folding a long stem of mugwort in half, twisting it as I go, then allowing it to dry. Then once fully dried, I'd set fire to the end and waft the giant thing around.

So with a tiny little more dignity, I made a smaller one. Perhaps the materials I pick today I will make a longer, thinner, more difnified one. Who knows.

I found a lovely stash of Mugwort growing in a secluded space along the River Dee, our beautiful Goddess River. Sat with it for some time just enjoying the fragrance, the colours, and also the beauty around me. I could feel the Connections of pathways, the boundary between pathway and beach, and the boundary between Wirral and Wales.

Took a little, I left a thank you, and went home.

Mugwort tea for me later!

Evening meal in the garden, trying out the new and smaller cauldron, and of course our good old solid hand forged tripod. It must be at least 12 years old, been up and down the country with us, left out in the rain for seasons at a time, but it just cleans up beautifully! And folds up into nothing. I reckon I'll get 100 years out of it, maybe double. Shame the same can't be said about me 😜

When you find a big bag of purple fabric in the attic ideal to make costumes and ribbons for this Sunday's Aintree ComiCon Drumming circle.

But have absolutely no sense of smell so don't know what it smells like....

So have tipped half a bottle of zoflora over it and letting it soak.

If you are looking for the drumming circle, just follow your nose, we will be smelling like sweet nectarine and vanilla. Apparently a little goes a long way !

We all have guides which have been with us since conception and before. And it doesn't matter to them if you see them or not, you just need to know they are there. If you want to connect with them, try building up skills in relaxation and meditation, because you need to learn to silence the brain of everyday thoughts and learn to listen. You eventually learn to gauge if you are picking up the right message or hearing it right.

Imagine if you love chocolate and hat broccoli. Say to yourself, "I love broccoli"... Do you have a tinge of doubt it is true. Now say, " I love chocolate", does that feel different. Choose your own foods so it is true do you.

That feeling you get is not just in your brain, it evokes a physical response. Like thinking of lemons makes your mouth water, or talking of fleas makes you want to itch. So you learn to feel it with your body.

So just come out with a statement and see if it is chocolate or broccoli.

We have to learn to read our own responses and trust our gut feelings. Because the non ordinary world is within our own mind. Our mind, our responses.
