Multiple days of severe weather ahead across the Midwest including Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. A strong tornado or two will be possible Sunday afternoon/evening, especially in southern Missouri and Illinois.

SPRING STORMS ARE HERE - Happy Saturday everyone! We have several storm systems that look to bring severe weather across the region over the next week.

TODAY/TONIGHT - While the threat remains low, a severe storm or two remains possible across southern half of Iowa and into Missouri. The higher threat for severe weather will be in southern Missouri. An isolated storm could produce large hail or strong winds, while farther south the wind threat is higher. There's also the possibility of a tornado or two in the southern risk area.

SUNDAY - A rather high end severe weather threat is taking aim on the central US, especially Illinois and Missouri and points farther east. Several tornadoes, some strong, are possible in this Enhanced Risk region (Level 3 of 5). The highest chance of a strong tornado will be southern Missouri and Illinois, especially south of I-44 in Missouri and I-70 in Illinois. For now, the worst looks to be south of the hard -hit St. Louis area. This will be an afternoon/evening storm formation with the threat continuing into the overnight.

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY - Several more days of severe weather are likely for the Midwest including Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. I'll have more details on this in the days ahead. Wednesday in particular needs to be closely watched.
