In addition to his career in film and video, David is an accomplished martial artist. At age 12, he began his training in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate and currently holds the rank of 9th Degree Black Belt. He graduated NYU Film School in 1977. In 1981 David was Knighted Sir David Seeger by The Venerable Sovereign Order of Saint John The Knights of Malta.
