DC Filmdom

DC Filmdom Entertainment reviews by Eddie Pasa and Michael Parsons (writer emeritus). My reviews go like this: If I enjoyed it, I enjoyed it. http://www.dcfilmdom.com

My reviews usually explain why. Just so's you know who we are...
Eddie Pasa and Michael Parsons are two movie-obsessed dorks who have been lucky enough to find outlets to write about films, theater, music, and anything else that strikes them as fun. Thanks for taking the time to root around on the site!

MOVIE REVIEW: Hoppers
(Review link in first comment)
My first full-on favorite of 2026. So much good is happening in this movie, and it's a rare one that has its cake, eats a slice, then shares it with the rest of us, as far as being a morality lesson, carrying a heavy environmental message, and being a completely entertaining and fun movie about friendship.

As a rule, I absolutely never go into a movie with a preconceived negative outlook. You give everything a fair shake. But when the sentiment isn't returned, as I feel it wasn't with this one... well, sit a spell and have a read.

Movie Review: SEND HELP
https://dcfilmdom.com/2026/01/send-help-movie-review/
This is Sam Raimi in the world of the corporeal and non-supernatural, and he is still proving he's one of the most spellbinding filmmakers to sit in a director's chair.

MOVE REVIEW: 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

Director Nia DaCosta and writer Alex Garland are a duo that NEEDS to work together again. This chapter in the series attempts so much with its emotion, horror, and social commentary, and it hits every mark. Probably the best of the series since the original.
