Supermodels Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski walked the runway in Jacquemus‘ spring 2024 fashion show entitled “Les Sculptures” in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France on Monday.

Hadid opened the show in a textured cream coat featuring exaggerated sleeves and lapels. Her accessories included a wide belt with gold hardware, as well as a leather handbag and white bow-embellished slingbacks.
Similar to Hadid’s, Ratajkowski’s all-black ensemble included a belted skirt suit with voluminous shoulders and matching mules. The model, author and podcast host also carried a small snakeskin purse.👜

You can’t keep a good T. rex down.

Although it’s been two years since the last time dinosaurs roamed the Earth in 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, Universal Pictures has hardly kept it biggest franchise trapped in amber.

The studio is deep into the development of an all-new Jurassic World movie and has David Koeppback at the keyboard. Koepp was the writer of the original 1993 Jurassic Park, famously directed by Steven Spielberg, and its sequel, 1997’s Jurassic Park: The Lost World.

The project, which has been flying under the radar, is far enough along, and the script in a well-liked shape, that the studio is whispering of a possible 2025 release date.

There is no director on board, but Frank Marshall, the veteran and celebrated producer who oversaw the Jurassic World trilogy, is back producing, as is another Jurassic vet, Patrick Crowley. Spielberg will executive produce via his Amblin Entertainment banner.

On Thursday afternoon, the history-filled Sony lot in Culver City — which was the MGM lot during Hollywood’s Golden Age, home to “more stars than there are in heaven” — welcomed film composer John Williams, after whom the studio’s musical building was being renamed.

Williams, 91, who is best known for the scores of Star Wars and 29 Steven Spielberg films — 20 of which were scored in the structure that will henceforth be known as the John Williams Music Building — was on hand, as were many of his collaborators (Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Spielberg’s producers Frank Marshall and Kristie Macosko Krieger) and colleagues (including fellow film composer Thomas Newman).

Actor Julia Roberts, who has acted in several popular movies, said she chose not to take off clothes or do racy roles during her decades-long career in Hollywood. During her new cover story with British Vogue, published on Thursday, the actor, 56, revealed the reason, adding that she wanted a ‘G-rated’ career. “You know, not to be criticizing others’ choices, but for me to not take off my clothes in a movie or be vulnerable in physical ways is a choice that I guess I make or myself,” she explained. “But in effect, I’m choosing not to do something as opposed to choosing not to do something as opposed to choosing to do something.”

Alma Pöysti and Jussi Vatanen, the Finnish stars of his latest, the tragicomic romance “Fallen Leaves,” are getting to meet both during their whirlwind tour of America at the height of Hollywood’s awards season.

In the span of just a few days, they’d attend the Golden Globe Awards, where both the film and Pöysti were nominated, get the news that the National Society of Film Critics had selected “Fallen Leaves” as the best non-English-language film of the year, take a quick detour to San Francisco for a screening, and head back to Los Angeles in time for the Governors Awards.

They are running out of superlatives to describe the experience, Vatanen said in a joint interview with Pöysti earlier this week, but both can agree it’s been “overwhelming.”

A famous actor with roots in Northeast Wisconsin was honored with the first Hollywood Walk of Fame star of 2024.

That would be Willem Dafoe, born in Appleton in 1955.

Dafoe’s acceptance speech made mention of his hometown — and he took time to mention Appleton’s other mega-star.

“The little town that I come from, Appleton Wisconsin, it’s maybe a town of 70,000 people now, someone else from that town has a star. And his name was Erik Weisz. You know who that is? Maybe you know him better by the name of Harry Houdini,” Dafoe said. “So I’m in good company.”
