No booth update this weekend, as it was a race weekend. And wow, what a weekend it was!

These were our last 2 points races of the season. It was sweltering hot on Saturday and I tried to avoid the sun as much as possible. My husband, Steve, started the day in 3rd place. He was going rounds in the Sportsman class and the racer in 1st place was out early! The final round came down to Steve and the guy that was in 2nd place. Steve had a .001 light (a perfect light is .000) and he WON the race! This win put him into first place in points!

He just needed to hold onto the lead for Sunday's race. That's when in first round of pro class, the truck started having problems. With the help of other racers, they were wrenching on the truck, trying to diagnose the problem, before he had to go up to run first round of sportsman. Steve, and the 2 racers who were only 11 and 19 points behind him, all won first round. More wrenching on the truck and the news was not good. But we were going to try to keep going rounds in hopes the other 2 would lose. While they were working on the truck, we noticed it was getting darker and we could see rain in the distance. We started praying for it to rain enough to end the race! At first the rain was just skirting by the track and suddenly it let loose! We took shelter in the trailer and the wind was rocking the trailer. I did not like not being able to see what was going on outside. Then the announcement came... it was going to rain for a few hours and by the time they could dry and get the track surface ready, it would be too late to complete the race. The race was over. Steve was now the 2025 Sportsman Class Champion! In a few weeks our team of racers goes to the Division Finals and Steve will get to respresent our track in the Race Of Champions race!

My next few weeks will be busy and filled with lots of race team responsibilities. I have designed our team tshirt and am getting everyone's orders, finalizing our team, and working on team decorations.

I may have to do booth updates during the week instead of on the weekend, but Booth #3 will be getting a big fall restock very soon! And I still have some items to bring in to Booth #12

Join me this afternoon on WhatNot! I will be unboxing & sorting through my basement closet. I keep all of my items I have listed on other sites or that have been in my booth in the past and didn't sell and some items are waiting to go into my booth, so they won't be for sale today. Items that don't sell today, I will donate! I need to make room for holiday items!

I'm so glad we have a break from the heat!

Enjoy this video of a herd of young deer walking through my yard this morning. One even stops to snack on my Daylillies. They come through here so often, I think I need a deer crossing sign 🤣
