BLACK & WHITE FRIDAY! Legendary ’tog Steve Diet Goedde has published a tasty photo-booklet featuring 20 of the models he photographed between 1990 and 2021 whose first names all begin with ‘A’. The limited edition 56-pager, titled simply ‘A’, is split 50:50 between well known pix and previously unpublished shots of such A-listers as Aria Giovanni, Apnea, Angela Ryan, Ancilla Tilia, Alejandra Guererro and more. NYC artist, photographer and performer Helena Calmfors has just had her first book of imagery, Forget Me Not, published by London’s Circa Press. Featuring flower-bedecked latex-clad selfies and stylised watercolours, her work represents a unique approach within the genre, and the book itself is a beautiful artefact that would make a great gift at this time of year.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: We finally received a review copy of photographer Alejandra Guerrero’s 2023 Circa Press monograph Auto Erotica, so we’ve reviewed it. In summary, it turns the cliché of “chicks ’n’ cars” on its head. The cars here might be cool and powerful — but so are the women! Incidentally Alejandra is also about to co-host a new event in Chicago, which is the subject of The Fe**shistas August cover story, live now. Well this year’s Met Gala certainly inspired some fab outfits (writes Tony Mitchell) although there didn’t appear to be a square inch of latex anywhere to be seen! There were a few fet-adjacent styles but even the most confirmed rubber-lovers like Megan Thee Stallion were sporting more conventional fabrics this time.
For my money, the overall winner was Janelle Monáe, below, in this amazing (and possibly Picasso-inspired) piece of optical illusionary styling. Again, not latex (which Janelle has been known to favour) – but you can’t have everything, I suppose!
