UPDATE: OCTOBER 2025- Rogers County Judge Stephen Pazzo has been assigned to oversee the case.

A Tulsa attorney charged with 5 counts of rape and 2 counts of rape by instrumentation, has tried to get 6 different judges thrown off the case, but, is finally headed for trial soon.

WHO: Jeffrey Krigel

WHAT COURT DOCUMENTS SAY:
-June 11, 2021: Krigel charged with 1 count of rape
-June 9, 2023: Krigel charged with 4 counts of rape and 2 counts of rape by instrumentation
-Numerous delays for various reasons.

-Krigel's attorney has filed requests to get the following judges removed from the case:
Judge Mary Ann Godsby
Judge Mike Warren
Judge Kelly Hake (twice)
Judge Dawn Moody
Current Judge Paul Hesse
And any Court of Criminal Appeals judge that's a "registered member of the OK Republican Party."

-The case was also delayed after a Krigel's attorneys said Krigel's solitary confinement has been debilitating and called a psychotherapist who testified that Krigel has depression, anxiety, memory and concentration issues and PTSD.
-The judge ordered a competency evaluation that determined Krigel is competent to stand trial.

-The current judge also refused to recuse himself from the case, saying the claims made by Krigel's attorney in the request were "unsupported, mischaracterized or grossly exaggerated."

-I'll let you know when the trial happens and the result.
-These are charges, not convictions.

HERE'S MY PREVIOUS POST ABOUT THE CHARGES:

-The 2023 charges involve allegations from 2011, 2015, 2021 and 2022.
-Krigel is accused in 2021 of intimidating two witnesses who had testified against him by sharing their personal data online, trying to track them down and filing lawsuits against in order to keep them from testifying in the future.
-The 2023 charges say he was accused of rape and sodomy in 2011, rape in 2015 and distributing obscene material by publishing nude photos in 2022.
-The OK Bar Association suspended Krigel's law license.
-Again, charges, not convictions.
