How often do we find ourselves trapped in a cycle of consumption? Regularly acquiring items we deem necessary or believe will enhance our happiness and simplify our lives.

I’m guilty having fallen into the pattern, too. I’ve found myself constantly drawn to shopping - particularly online - continuously justifying purchases as necessities.

The cycle looked like: order something, revel in the anticipation and joy of their arrival, only for that excitement to wane within days. The perpetual cycle of “What do I truly need next?” took hold.

In truth, we humans need very little. This accumulation of possessions often breeds discontent, propelling us to seek the next quick fix.

If we limit the amount of stuff in our lives we can create room for what’s really important.

Save and share for a reminder when you need it!

What else would you add to the list?
