Went by yesterday to Woodside Delicatessen to document the storefront as they closed their doors for the first time in seven decades. I was told the company that owns the building raised the rent and refused to negotiate.

Call the realtors for the property at 301-986-9500 and let them know that their greed is decimating our local culture and to negotiate with Woodside a fair deal.

As many of our MD suburbs prepare for the purple line, let us not forget to hold commercial realtors and the politicians in their pocket accountable for catering to wealth over preservation of community history and culture.
