A few weeks ago, I went to our friends’ wedding and it was magical, beautifully planned, smooth and obviously full of love.
But business-wise speaking, do you know what really stood out to me?
The Toastmaster, the guy in red making sure everything ran like clockwork.
He guided the guests, helped the newlyweds stick to their timeline and handled unexpected questions… so they could simply enjoy their day.
This is exactly what a Virtual Assistant does for a business.
We’re not the ones in the spotlight, but we make sure everything behind the scenes flows so YOU can focus on your big moment, whether that’s launching, creating, or growing.
Now… let me tell you bit of a personal story, because of how passionate I am with organising dream events in my previous job in luxury tourism, I tried to be my own wedding planner, Toastmaster and bride at my two-day destination wedding.
You read it right, back then, it seemed like bread-and-butter to me, and during the months that led to the BIG weekend, that was correct… except I didn’t considered that in that event..
I was THE BRIDE 👰🏻♀️
To top it all, I was the only one among the both of us who speaks Italian, so big chunks of the weekend was spent arguing with suppliers, chasing the DJ who came straight to our event after a night-out, paying suppliers who provided the wrong quotes and fixing last-minute chaos…
All in my wedding dresses (I had 2, yes, iconic though!).
It was beautiful, yes. But it didn’t need to be that stressful.
Lesson learned? Just like you shouldn’t manage your own wedding on the big day...
You shouldn’t try to juggle every task in your business.
Hiring a VA (aka your business Toastmaster) means:
✔️ Fewer bottlenecks
✔️ More focus on what lights you up
✔️ No more 11pm admin panic sessions
So if you’re a UK small business owner or creative founder burning out…
It’s time to delegate!
