Based in Via della Conciliazione, Vatican, the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops serves the Synod by preparing and coordinating assemblies and assisting the Pope in his role as the President of the Synod. Led by Secretary General Cardinal Mario Grech, it provides a connection between different synodal assemblies, assists with the Pope's post-assembly apostolic exhortation, and promotes the synodal process through ongoing support, communication and reflection. On Thursday, 30 October 2025, a week after the Jubilee of Synodal Teams and Participatory Bodies, I had the opportunity to meet the communications team. A great, fruitful meeting we had.
