has showed us all the beauty in “solo traveling.” So I started with a football game 🥂

I got my tickets the day before (s108) & I was blessed to be seated by season ticket holders, who then added me to their group gatherings right there on the spot. Really looking forward to tailgating with them next time!!

During halftime, I met another group of people in the smokers section 😆 you know how that go, YOUHEAME lol.. & to end it off, I linked up with my family after the game; all unplanned ❤️

Yesterday was so much fun! 🏈

Thank you to my Mom, for allowing me to create this project in her house. From January to March, I recorded 40 songs & I even lost my voice in the process! 😆

, what & why?

Last Fall (2024), I created a 3-pack of songs and I named it “How Do You Feel” with the sole purpose of having new music to perform. Though after performing those songs a few times I felt that I needed some new material, something better.

After several months of writers block, the New Year came around (2025) and my cousin had a bday party. So I went out in hopes of lifting my spirits. I was even able to get some good pictures of myself, so that was nice. The album cover is from that night; This was on January 4th.

January 6th & 7th, we got snowed in so I stayed home from work. During that time, I took some shrooms to help me push thru my writers block. 48hrs later & 10 songs were created, but I didn’t have a name for it.

So I thought, when someone asks you “How Do You Feel”, you would expect for them to listen to you. Right? So I decided I’d name it “I Hear You”, but in that same breath popped in my head and I just knew that was it! Also with being from the DMV, that phrase is apart of our slang. So it was just a full circle moment.

This August makes 14yrs of making music.

I remember when there was just (3) of us, sharing what we wrote each time we linked in health class. This was 2010, I was just a freshman & I couldn’t write worth a damn.

Summer 2011, I recorded my first mixtape. I was determined to be the best out of the (3) of us. So I did an mixtape rollout with “Peso” by as the leading single lol.. I recall checking YouTube the next day & had 800 views, I thought I was on my way. Long story short, the bulk of the those plays came from people who didn’t even like the song. They told me. Several people 🤣

So I learned early, I had to do it because I loved it.

We fast forward to September 2015. At this time I was only a few months into my barbering career, when I released a cover to “Big Rings” by .. WATTBA fr 😅

That song currently sits at just under 700,000 plays on but this time around the bulk of those plays came from people who actually liked the song. They told me. Several people 😉

Safe to say, it’s best to keep going

Almost 10 years later & here I am still chasing the dream just as profoundly as I did in my teens! And you should do the same, for yours ❤️
