Day 6 - Headed over east to Furnas the more volcanic region full of geothermic activity. Spent a long time hiking through a beautiful jungle like forest full of redwoods to reach the waterfall. Then went into town to soak in some hot springs that closed when we go there so we’ll come back. Then past this cool thermal area where they cook food in the ground.

Day 5 - Late post no time go through photos last night. Headed out to the west side Sete Cidades, climbed the volcano for views of the lakes resting in the craters and explored an abandoned hotel. Late trip home where I practiced flying the drone.

Day 4 - Pretty chill day, visited a pineapple plantation and walked through the gardens in Ponta Delgada. Had some time to relax and swing in the hammock. 25-45km winds so no drone shots today.

Day 3 - Dolphin & Whale Watching before visiting Ponta Delgada. We saw a pod of 4 orcas, 2 huge pods of common dolphins and 1 elusive blue whale (tough to get a photo). I’ve never gotten sea sick before but today out there on the Zodiac it took the life out of me all day.
