Frugal & Beyond Hi Everyone! I'm Crystal - a wife and mother who has had the privilege of staying home to raise our daughter. Let me share that with you...

However, living on one income has not been easy & we have learned so much along the way on how to be frugal.

It's January folks! A great time to take inventory of what you have and what you need to restock. Keep a list and start looking for those restock items on sale. When you find an item you need or that your family uses regularly, STOCK UP!

I did bathroom inventory over the weekend and noticed we all needed deodorant. So, I shopped around, found the best prices and ordered for all of us.

Tomorrow I'll check the utility room for laundry items and cleaning supplies. Remember, a lot of you cleaning supplies can be made homemade for less.

Pantry inventory will have to wait until this weekend...lol.

Happy restocking!

I know i am getting a late start but it's time for a January Freezer clean out!

Time for a clean out of meats and frozen veggies!

This month, we will cook what is in the freezer to help use up any remaining food items that have been in there for a while and need using to prevent spoilage and waste.

We do this a few times a year to keep our inventory fresh, to recover from holiday spending and to reorganize the freezer each time.

I did my grocery shopping for the week yesterday and only bought bread, eggs and couple of GF options that Braleigh needed.

Don't forget to make a list along the way of items you will need to slowly start replacing over the coming weeks or even months. Remember, you don't have to replace it all at once. Look for those sales!

Hit Hobby Lobby yesterday for 90% off their remaining Christmas. I was able to get gift bags, wrapping paper that can be used year round, Braleigh a new Christmas tree for $16, lots of tree decor and some inside decor, 2 sets of placemats to use through out the year, a few pieces to use at the front door next season, LED snowflakes for my windows, etc.

I never would have been able to do this without hitting this amazing sale. We are slowly replacing the many, many Christmas items we lost during the hurricane a few yrs back and this is the frugal way to do it!

Don't forget....

You can always recycle and reuse gift bags/boxes that did not get damaged this holiday season.

Hey Frugal friends,
Today is the day that you go out and buy wrapping paper, gift boxes, bags etc for the next Christmas season at discounted prices.

However, also look for wrapping paper, gift bags and boxes that you can use all year through such as solid colors, polka dots, and stripes for example. Also, do not forget to grab white tissue paper from the Christmas section that can be used for any time of the year!

Don't forget to look for stocking stuffer type items or other things that you can purchase and gift as needed throughout the year!

I've already made my trip this morning
So.....Ready, set, gooooooo!!!!
