We will be chasing tomorrow afternoon in the Red River valley area. Updates to follow as the stream starts and weather occurs!

No changes this evening to our thinking in regards to the severe thunderstorm threat on Tuesday. Where and when storms do form will highly depend on if we get any showers or thunderstorms early Tuesday morning and where any boundaries set up. Storms are expected to be strong to severe Tuesday afternoon through the evening. All severe weather threats are possible with significant severe storms with hail in excess of 2 inches, wind gusts over 75mph and tornadoes. Excessive rainfall or flash flooding is also possible in localized areas.

A pretty strong storm will be moving into the FM area over the next hour or so. Expect winds around 40, brief heavy rain and hail up to quarter size in small pockets. The rest of the day doesn't look much better - more possibilities for storms as the cold front drops SE. Will post with any significant updates, stay tuned!

More thunderstorms forming SW of the Fargo metro moving NE toward the valley. These early storms may produce heavy rain but may not be severe. As the day goes on & the cold front moves closer the severe risk increases. Stay weather aware!

Severe thunderstorms expected across much of the RRV this afternoon into the evening. Conditions are not favorable for tornadoes but expect more linear storms with high wind gust potential and some hail in spots.

Highly technical discussion of the storm moving through town tonight.
