Mswati III (born Makhosetive Dlamini; 19 April 1968) is the Ngwenyama (King) of Eswatini and head of the Swazi royal family. He heads an absolute monarchy, as he has veto power over all branches of government and is constitutionally immune from prosecution.
He was born in Manzini in the Protectorate of Swaziland to King Sobhuza II and one of his younger wives, Ntfombi Tfwala. He was crowned as Mswati III, Ingwenyama and King of Swaziland, on 25 April 1986 at the age of 18, becoming the youngest ruling monarch in the world at that time.

With unrestricted political power and able to rule by decree, Mswati III (together with his mother, Ntfombi Tfwala, now Queen Mother [Ndlovukati]) is the last remaining absolute monarch in Africa and one of the only twelve remaining absolute national or subnational monarchs in the world. Under the constitution, the king is the commander-in-chief of the defence force and commissioner-in-chief of police and correctional services, and Mswati III exercises ultimate authority over all branches of the national government and effectively controls local governance through his influence over traditional chiefs.

Under his reign, political dissent and civic and labor activism are subject to harsh punishment under laws against sedition and other laws. Political parties have been banned in Eswatini since 1973 when King Sobhuza II declared a state of emergency that remained in force until 2005, when the constitution came into effect. Pro-democracy protests from 2021 onwards have been violently dispersed and political activists have been arrested. The government exercises total control over the broadcast media, including the only privately owned TV channel, which belongs to the royal family. Almost all media outlets are controlled, directly or indirectly, by Mswati III.

Mswati III lives an opulent and lavish lifestyle which stands in sharp contrast to the lives of most Emaswazi people. In 2022, an estimated 32% of the population lived below the US$2.15/day international poverty line (measured by price-purchasing parity (PPP) in 2017) while 55% of the population was under the lower-middle-income country poverty line of $3.65/day.As of 2024 Mswati III, who practises polygamy, had eleven wives. Formerly named Swaziland, in 2018 Mswati III renamed the country Eswatini (formally the Kingdom of Eswatini) by decree.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐭𝐢

The 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, known in their native Tuwuli language as 𝐁𝐚𝐰𝐮𝐥𝐢, are an indigenous 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐧-𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 located in the 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐲𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 of Ghana’s 𝐎𝐭𝐢 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧. Oral tradition traces their migration to the 13th century, when they left 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞 in the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 due to leadership and customary disputes. They were led by a revered figure named 𝐊𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐮, and some accounts also speak of divine guidance by a deity called 𝐊𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐤𝐮, during their journey.

Upon settling in the 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲, southwest of 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧, the Bowiri encountered and defeated the aboriginal 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐮𝐤𝐮𝐭𝐮 or 𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐫 people in a decisive confrontation known as the 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞. After their victory, they smeared themselves with white clay (hyirew) as a symbol of purification and triumph—an act that remains deeply symbolic in their traditions today.

The Bowiri are organized into several interconnected towns, including 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐞, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐨, 𝐊𝐲𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐡𝐢, 𝐊𝐰𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐤𝐫𝐨𝐦, 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞, 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐛𝐨, 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐞, 𝐊𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞, 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐞, 𝐅𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐛𝐨, and 𝐎𝐝𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐞. These towns together form the 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚, governed through a customary system that maintains unity and heritage.

Cultural festivals are central to Bowiri identity. 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐮𝐫, a week-long event held annually between February and March, commemorates their ancestral migration. According to the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, the 𝐇𝐲𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐨 𝐀𝐟𝐚𝐡𝐲𝐞 is considered their national festival, celebrating peace, spiritual renewal, and the sanctity of the land.

Spirituality is deeply rooted in the Bowiri worldview. Sacred forests, believed to house the deity 𝐊𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐤𝐮, are revered and protected, reflecting their harmony with nature and ancestral belief systems.

Ghanaian Akan drummer with a drum from the early 18th century.
It was crafted in the Akan culture of Ghana, West Africa, approximately 300 years ago.
It is speculated that the drum was carried across the Atlantic by slaves. Slaves were kept physically fit for work on slave plantations by playing drums and making them dance during the journeys.

Forcibly suppressing enslaved Africans and their culture included the confiscation and prohibition of drums in North America. Virginia, then a British colony and now a state in the United States, is where a Reverend Clerk first came into possession of the drum around 1730. From there, it made its way into the collection of Sir Hans Sloane and eventually to the British Museum.

🕊️ WHY DOES ISRAEL ATTACKED IRAN - THE UNTOLD BACKSTORY

You’re hearing the headlines: Israel has bombed Iran.

But what if I told you…
This war didn’t start this year.
It didn’t start last year.
It started over 2,000 years ago.

Let me take you back.

Here is the backstory between Israel and Iran

Once upon a time, the children of Israel lived in their promised land… until Babylon came and dragged them into captivity.

Some eventually returned, but many were scattered across the world, a people without a home.

They tried to build lives in Europe, but antisemitism followed them everywhere like a shadow.

Then came Hi**er.
And the Holocaust.

Over 6 million Jews were slaughtered in the most inhumane genocide ever recorded.

Entire families wiped out. Babies gassed. Elders buried in mass graves. The world stood still… and then it moved.

After the world war, there was one global question on every Jewish survivor’s lips:

“Where can we ever be safe?”

And so, Britain stepped in with a promise.

In 1917, they wrote what’s now called the Balfour Declaration, promising the Jews a permanent homeland in Palestine. there onced promise land of Canaan before captivity

But here was the problem…

Palestine already had people -Arab Muslims, living there for over 1,300 years.

The region had been heavily Islamized long before the Jews returned.

Still, the Jews pressed on.

Backed by powerful families like the Rothschilds, who allegedly funded British war efforts, Israel was declared a nation in 1948.

A people who were once scattered, now gathered.

But for the Palestinians, this was not a miracle, it was a catastrophe.

Hundreds of thousands were displaced.

Their homes were gone.

And this marked the beginning of a new war, not just with Palestinians, but with the Islamic world.

Now enter Iran.

Before 1979, Iran wasn’t Israel’s enemy. Under the Shah, Iran had low-key relations with Israel.

Just like other Shah Muslim countries.

But that changed overnight after the Islamic Revolution.

A new leader rose: Ayatollah Khomeini.
And he had one mission: Wipe Israel off the map.

Iran began sponsoring groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, pouring billions into them. Not just for politics, but for religion.

For Iran, Israel wasn’t just a country, it was an offense to their faith.

💣 So Why Did Israel Attack Iran?

For Israel, Iran is not just a rival - it’s an existential threat.

Iran has openly vowed that “Israel must be wiped off the map.” And they haven’t just said it; they’ve spent decades funding anti-Israel attacks surrounding Israel on all sides.

But what truly keeps Israel awake at night?
Iran’s secret nuclear program.

Quietly. Slowly. Steadily…
Iran has been enriching uranium, building underground nuclear facilities, and recruiting some of the best nuclear minds in the region all with one goal: to build a bomb strong enough to destroy Israel in one strike.

But here’s what most people don’t realize:

Israel isn’t the kind of country that waits to be attacked.

They follow something called the Begin Doctrine:

👉 If a hostile enemy is building weapons of mass destruction, Israel will strike first. Always.

And Israel has the best intelligence network in the Middle East, maybe even the world.

So what do they do?

They infiltrate, track, and study Iran’s every move.
They don’t strike just to cause chaos.
They strike to neutralize threats before they become unstoppable.

Their targets were not civilians.

They went for:
• Nuclear engineers,
• Military labs,
• Secret uranium facilities,
• Missile launch sites,
• And top military commanders who were masterminding Iran’s future nuclear force.

Their goal?
Stop Iran before Iran grows strong enough to wipe them off the face of the earth.

And this operation wasn’t done alone.

The United States stood behind them, offering strategic and intelligence support, because a nuclear Iran isn’t just a threat to Israel. It’s a threat to the entire world, allegedly

So when you hear people say, “Israel is overreacting,”
Remember this:
They’ve been hunted since Babylon.
Scattered in Europe.
Butchered by Hi**er.
And now threatened.

It’s not just about land.
It’s about survival.

For Israel, this is a fight for survival.
A people once scattered across Europe, hunted in ghettos, slaughtered in gas chambers, and forever marked by the Holocaust.

To them, a nuclear Iran is a ticking time bomb. And waiting means extinction.

But for Iran and other Islamic extremists, this is a fight for what they believe was stolen.

They say the land was theirs long before 1948.

They had lived, prayed, and built communities there for over 1,300 years before Israel returned.

To them, it’s not just politics, it’s a sacred mission to defend their history, faith, and homeland.

Who is right?
Who is wrong?
I don’t know. And maybe it’s not my place to decide.

But what I know is this:

Every bomb that drops, every missile launched, every child that dies… pushes us farther away from peace.

Whoever fights this war, may we never forget that behind the flags, politics, and ideologies… are human lives.

And what this world needs most right
now Is peace.

Finally Remember: Before you become a Christian, a Jew, or a Muslim, you are first a human being.

And no belief should ever justify hurting another human…..
