RZA has inspired me in many ways. I’ve always been a fan of Wu Tang but when I got to hear. RZAs story it spoke to me. Initially he didn’t know music theory. The odds were stacked against him but he had faith and a vision. He reminds me of someone i used to work with that Is no longer with us today 🕊️ Shout out to Garvy for breaking down supreme mathematics and the story and beliefs of the 5%. I’ll always have a special place for him in my heart.
I highly recommend reading the Tao of the Wu
They also have a show on Hulu that shares the groups journey.
I dropped the link in the comments
If you’re a Wu fan, check it out.

I think a lot of artists/creatives struggle with being creative and also needing to run the business aspect of their craft. So I had a conversation with AI to go over the similarities and I found the points it made very interesting. I thought I would share it with you. Here are the main takeaways.
Music and business, at first glance, might seem worlds apart, but they share numerous similarities and underlying principles that make them more alike than one might think. Both fields require a blend of creativity, discipline, structure, and collaboration, among other factors. Here's a detailed look at how music is similar to business:
1. Creativity and Innovation
Music: Creating music involves innovation, from composing original pieces to interpreting existing ones in new ways.
Business: Success in business often requires innovative thinking, whether in developing new products, services, or finding unique solutions to challenges.
2. Practice and Discipline
Music: Mastery of an instrument or vocal skill requires consistent practice, discipline, and dedication.
Business: Building a successful business also requires discipline in planning, executing strategies, and persisting through challenges.
3. Collaboration and Teamwork
Music: Ensemble performances and bands demonstrate the importance of teamwork, where each member's contribution is vital to the overall performance.
Business: Successful businesses rely on effective teamwork, where diverse skills and roles work together towards common goals.
4. Structure and Flexibility
Music: Music is governed by structures like rhythm, harmony, and melody, but it also allows for improvisation and flexibility within those structures.
Business: While businesses operate within certain structures (e.g., business models, regulatory frameworks), flexibility and adaptability are crucial for navigating market changes and seizing new opportunities.
5. Audience Engagement
Music: Musicians must connect with their audience, understanding their preferences and emotions to engage them effectively.
Business: Similarly, businesses need to understand their customers' needs, preferences, and feedback to successfully market their products or services and build brand loyalty.
6. Risk and Failure
Music: Pursuing a career in music or experimenting with new sounds involves risk and the possibility of failure, but also the potential for significant rewards.
Business: Entrepreneurship and business ventures come with their own risks and the possibility of failure, yet they also offer opportunities for substantial growth and success.
7. Performance and Presentation
Music: The way music is performed or presented can greatly affect its reception, requiring attention to detail, presentation skills, and audience interaction.
Business: The presentation of a product, service, or brand, and the performance of the team or company, plays a crucial role in its success and public perception.
8. Continuous Learning and Adaptation
Music: Musicians must continually learn, adapt to new music trends, and refine their skills to stay relevant.
Business: Businesses must also continuously adapt to changing market trends, customer preferences, and technological advancements to remain competitive.
9. Emotional Connection
Music: Music has the power to evoke emotions, connect with listeners on a deep level, and communicate messages beyond words.
Business: Successful brands often create an emotional connection with their customers, building loyalty and a sense of community around their products or services.
Both music and business are dynamic fields that thrive on creativity, adaptability, and a deep understanding of their respective audiences. Recognizing these similarities can inspire new approaches to business challenges, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sounds similar right? If we can understand pattern recognition, we can find ourselves solving bigger problems in a simplified way. Take the template and use it for something else. See if you can tie your passion into your business and maybe that can spark up a new idea to bring your business/creativity to the next level.

Channeling My Inner RZA with a VLIVE twist.
I have always appreciated his work and have been inspired by it.
I channeled my inner RZA for this one. Another tribute to the genius behind Wu-Tang and everything he has created and what he stood for.

Our Story
Open Format DJ & Radio Personality on 4PLAY 258 MAFIA RADIO Radio
DJ VLIVE was born in the Magic City of Miami, she came up during the hip hop revolution of the 90s. VLive was inspired by the sounds of Miami heavy bass artist's such as 2 Live Crew, DJ Laz, Uncle Al. This groundbreaking music along with learning how to play guitar provided the foundation for a lifelong journey with music and the desire to move people through sound.
Miami is an amazing place to be involved in music and VLIVE fully embraces the down and dirty sounds of the 305 as well as music of the past, present, and future from around the globe. VLIVE is constantly working on her sound in order to remain relevant but yet stay true to herself. Being a female DJ in a male dominted industry is a welcome challenge for her; she will work twice as hard to reach her ever evolving goals. She wants to be known as a hard working amazing DJ not a "good for a girl" DJ.
Not only is VLIVE interested in DJing she has found a passion for production and is well aware that she will always be a student of Music. When she performs her goal is to make those around her feel what they need to feel at the moment she drops the beat and find an escape from their problems.
Since graduating from SAE MIami she has brought her talents to various venues and events. VLive loves to use her gift to help her community and has partipated in Brick by Brick Foundation events such as Vinyl Appreciation at Miami Science of Museum, The Humane Society 24 hour adpotion event at Tropical Park, Save the Music Foundation event plus more.
She has held residencies at Live Bar in Hollywood Fl, The Ren in Sunset FL and Sunset Tavern in Sunset FL.
