Part 2 of building a life-size Master Chief.

This part was basically just fill gaps/seams, sand, prime, repeat… and repeat again.

Plastic welding staples, soldering iron, Bondo spot putty, and a LOT of sanding went into getting the surface ready for paint.

Life size Master Chief statue is well underway!

1,200+ hours of printing, about 50kg of filament, and every printer in my arsenal running nonstop.

Now onto the fun part… filling all those gaps.

I knew the tape was only a temporary hold… I just didn’t expect it to be THAT temporary.

The larger spiderman figure is finally finished printing!

It took over 17.5 days of printing, 25,808 toolhead changes, and around 8 kg of filament. The minimal waste for multicolor printing makes the Snapmaker U1 absolutely unreal.

These are my first prints off the Snapmaker U1!

I’m really impressed with how effortless multicolour printing is. I normally shy away from multicolour prints because of all the waste, so I’m excited to see what I can do with this machine.

Can’t wait to take it up a notch with some bigger projects!
