Welcome to BLEEP FUNK Records, the future of FUNK ELECTRONICA. This label showcases a truly original and unique fusion of funk, disco, deep, tech & minimal sounds. While other funk labels have had a tendency to keep looking backwards and also to keep playing safe in terms of what funky house is and what it's not. Bleep Funk Records, on the other hand sees FUNK, not just as a noun but as an adjective. In other words, funkiness can be found in many genres and is not exclusive to the popular funk house genres of today.. Bleep Funk pays tribute to the phat-ness, the hardness of old 70s funk and even disco which he feels has not been fully translated yet. Bleep Funk seeks to fill that gap and move funk and disco towards the future, to honour the greats of original funk and disco by breaking new barriers and to see how far this funk universe can expand. For to Bleep Funk Records, this 'psychedelic, no rules, how funky can we get?’ philosophy of the 70's Funk Masters was the legacy they left to today's dancers and music makers.Bleep Funk Records aims to honour that code.

Blaxploitation EP

Johnny Deep gets even deeper into the funk with this unique EP on Bleep Funk Records. Over the years, funk seems to be losing its meaning but not for Johnny. He always takes inspiration for his electric funk from the 1970s, the birth of funk music. With LA Blaxploitation, takes things as step further using authentic symphonic orchestration inspired by 1970s Black Movies like Shaft. This tune packs all the beefiness of a modern deep house stomper yet with a proper retro funk feel. Although Blaxploitation was an American 70s movie phenomenon, Johnny Deep imagines an Indian black movie feel with Bombay Exploitation. This tune has more of a disco dunk feel but Johnny Deep’s daring use of a sitar synth takes this song to an eccentric but super funky place. We hope you enjoy this authentic house funk excursion!!!
