A tropical wave is gradually becoming better organized and is likely to become a tropical depression or storm over the central Caribbean Sea during the next few days.

While there is significant uncertainty in the eventual track and intensity of the system, interests in Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Jamaica, and Cuba should monitor its progress as there is a risk of heavy rain and flooding, strong winds, and rough surf later this week.

Patchy dense fog has developed over parts of the northern Florida Peninsula this morning. Dense fog can quickly and unexpectedly reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less. If you find yourself on the road in dense fog, small decisions could save your life. Small decisions like slowing down, not using cruise control, and delaying travel until conditions improve can make a big impact...or save you from one. weather.gov/safety/fog

Our "Rainy Season" pretty much came to an end this past weekend, with many areas ending up below normal for the season and for the year. Based on this, our drought conditions are likely to worsen as we move through autumn and winter, especially with a weak La Niña expected.
