what happened?
after a long period of silence, it's time to talk about a few things. fall into void recs started back in 2011 when i was fresh out of high school, still living with my parents and with no concept or idea behind it, except for the wish to work with people i like.
over the years, this label has grown into so much more than i had ever expected. i have gotten to work with artists from all over the world, release some incredible music on some incredibly outdated formats. i have poured time and money into this operation and i was happy to do so. always have been. i finished college and got my 2nd degree back in the summer of 2021, which was a real turning point for me personally - and in conclusion for this label as well.
about 2 weeks after getting my degree i started working full time, which i still am. there has been less and less time to put into this label. i'm sure you noticed that things have slowed down a lot over the past few years. i remember putting out like 15-20 releases a year for a while. now it's been 2,5 years since the last tape i published. simply put, this label has given me more than i ever thought it would, but it seems to have run it's natural course. i am forever grateful for everyone who has interacted with this in any way, shape or form.
there's going to be two more releases before i'm officially calling it quits. the first one dropped today - you can check it out on bandcamp (link in the comments). maybe there's going to be some one-off release somewhere down the line. maybe not, it's not for me to decide at this moment.
this has been everything for me and i'm humbled and honored to have had the chance to work with so many fantastic people and - in some cases - even getting to know them personally. who would have thought this thing would turn out this way back in 2011, when i was 18yrs old and had just gotten my first tape deck.
always and forever grateful for everything
it's been real
