Tonight's The Electro Wave Show is an alternative 80's special. There are plenty tracks on tonight's show that aren't necessarily electronic, but are definitely hidden gems. We've got the standard fare of Ultravox, Simple Minds, Soft Cell, Visage and INXS, but don't expect the usual hits (apart from the Soft Cell track)

There are loads of hidden gems on the show with The Twins, Bill Nelson, Kajagoogoo, Trans-X and Thomas Leer and a load more.

Friday night's The Electro Wave Show is an alternative 80s show with all tracks chosen by the listeners. As always the show starts at 8pm UK on Spectrum On Air.

There are a good few tracks that are from artists that never made the front on Smash Hits with the likes of The Twins, Trans X, DAF, The Bluebells, Husker Du, The Mobiles and Bill Nelson

More well known artists on the show include Duran Duran, Soft Cell, Simple Minds, Ultravox, INXS and the Police. You may have picked up that it won't all be electronic music!

Apologies for my voice on the show, really wasn't sitting comfortably for the duration of the show.

Tonight's The Electro Wave Show on Spectrum On Air from 8pm UK is going to be very special.

I've got 2 new Fiat Lux band official tracks ready to share with you. These have not been played outside the confines of the studio and they are so new, one of the tracks was still being mastered on Monday!!

Both tracks will appear on the new Fiat Lux album, due for release in 2025. Thanks to Steve Wright and David P Crickmore for giving me the honour of playing these 2 brilliant tunes!

Also on the show, I've got Boy George covering a Bronski Beat track and Duran Duran covering an ELO track (you won't get that on Radio 1!)

I'm going to do another 80's show on Friday 25th October, so if you have a great choice of track from the 80s that you think might fit the show, please send them to new either on email or DM. Don't post them on a thread as they will get lost in the Facebook noise.

The tracks I'm looking for are the ones that you don't hear that often. It might be a 12" version, B side or even and album track so please stay away from the obvious 80s tunes. It doesn't even have to be electronic.

I need these to me before Tuesday 22nd as I will need time to source the music and record the show.

Get your thinking caps on and send me them on direct message! I've still got a few from the last show that didn't get played, but just to make double sure your track gets an airing, message me.
