Over Christmas break, a businessman had lost hope that he would gain the finances to buy the building his team had believed God was leading them to. However, the businessman kept pushing forward. That is when the owner of the building said she would lend them the down payment money to buy her building. Turns out, after taking faith steps for a whole year, the Lord provided the cash for the down payment, and the team would not have to borrow from the owner! The businessman did not have to figure it all out. He just needed to follow Jesus step-by-step.

After closing, the team started doing some renovations and ended up uncovering more amazing things. It was as if the building was constructed with them in mind. Even the exposed brick and beams reminded the business owner that He prepares a place for us. God’s plan is even better than what we want, need, or ask for.

A businessman was launching a new business venture, speaking, coaching, and hosting workshops. It was completely different from his existing sales management job, but he said, “I’m doing what I was born to do.” His first event involved three consecutive weekends, during which he rented a local hotel conference room plus catering. As he signed the contract for $15,000, he thought, I hope I’m hearing from God! Although he knew he had heard from God, anxiety was trying to creep in.

After he signed the papers, he told his Heaven in Business group about what he had just done. While he was speaking (before he mentioned the financial commitment), one businesswoman heard God tell her to give the businessman $10,000. She had been praying about what to do with a certain inheritance for about six months, so she met with the businessman, told him her story, and gave him the check. The businessman was rocked. That is when he heard God say, “You are my son. Of course I’m going to provide for you. I’m proud of you.”

A currency trader in Bogotá, Colombia, has spent the majority of his 27-year career working with the dollar-peso market. During this time, the pressure weighed on him. Trading daily came with high risk, high stress, and high anxiety from loss. He carried the weight of every decision, and, despite his experience, he did not have peace.

That began to change when he read God With You at Work by Andy Mason. One chapter about resting in God shifted everything. The currency trader realized that rest did not mean doing nothing–it meant entering the day without anxiety and fully trusting God. He began arriving at his office at 6:30 AM, solely to spend time with God in prayer and communion. From that place of calm, God gave him a new trading method that was simple, strategic, and clear. He stopped reacting emotionally and started trading from a place of peace.

Ever since this realization, everything has improved. He has had his best financial years, despite his team significantly downsizing. He lives and works in peace, and he is consulting for importers and exporters, offering them the same strategic clarity he received from God. He reflects on his story, telling us to “start your day with God, and trust Him—even in the chaos of the marketplace.”
