Le French Festival 2025 Launches in a New Year-Long Format Across Malaysia
The much-anticipated Le French Festival 2025 was officially launched at a press conference yesterday, co-organised by the Alliances Françaises de Malaisie and the French Embassy in Malaysia. For the first time in its history, the festival will run in an extended nine-month format, from March to November 2025, bringing a continuous stream of French artistic, cultural, and intellectual events to Malaysia.
This exciting new structure will see the festival travel through Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Kuching, offering six themed highlights throughout the year that reflect the depth and diversity of French culture.
The 2025 edition focuses on the timely and globally relevant theme: "The Preservation of Our Oceans and the Environment", aligning with the upcoming 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France. Festival-goers can expect a vibrant range of events covering cinema, digital art, photography, literature, performing arts, gastronomy, and more — appealing to all ages and interests.
Here’s what to expect across the year:

Featuring concerts by Euroasia Sinfonia and Vox Suara Choir, the flagship event will be held on Saturday, 28 June at Titiwangsa Park in collaboration with DBKL — a fun and family-friendly outdoor musical celebration.
September – Le Petit Festival
A special month for young audiences, offering hands-on workshops and interactive activities designed to ignite curiosity and creativity in children.
October – Gastronomy Month
