So my honest of
Overall, pretty good!
I got the Honey Pot smash burger and the 420 fries. The burger was cooked well, the toppings were a good choice as a very classic sort of “western” or “rodeo” burger; onion rings, cheddar, and BBQ sauce. The flavors were mild, but good! If you’re into those styles of burgers, this will definitely satisfy your palette for them! It was not the burger I wanted to order and I’ll get to that later.
As for the 420 fries, and their fries overall…pretty mid. My option is if you sell a potato option there should always be the ability to top with meats and cheeses. They satisfy that with these fries. They’re topped with cheeses, bacon, and spring onion. I’m about it! However, they were undercooked. I don’t know if the fries are also baked here, and if they are it does makes sense in regards to my concern with them, but the inside of the potato was still stiff. Unfortunately they were not fluffy and though they weren’t starchy, which is a huge boon, they were still stiff and could’ve done with a longer cook. I’m ok waiting a few more minutes for fully cooked fries. Another thought in these fries is even though they were topped with flavorful ingredients, overall the side wasn’t incredibly flavorFUL. I salted and peppered them, which helped a bit, but they become more enjoyable with a side of ranch. So my input in these is don’t be afraid to season your fries OR offer it as an option if you’re concerned about it being too strong. Though at least some seasoned salt would make a big difference.
As to why it wasn’t the first burger I wanted….i was at this location with my homie and he ordered the burger I was initially going to get, the Curd is the Word burger. THAT was a tasty burger! The curds were properly cooked, seasoned, and the cheese was quite flavorful. Very enjoyable bite.
I finished all my ordered food, left comfortably full, and good with the price. ~$30 for both of us with burger, sides, and drinks is fair in this economy.
I give them a solid 7.5/10.
Flavor the potatoes, fully cook them, and throw some seasoning on the burgers and the numbers will definitely go up.
We’ll be back again.
