Giving New Authors A Voice

The idea for Belton Cottage Publishing began in my creative writing class at university. I read so many great stories from my peers in that class and it was very disheartening to know that very few of them would ever get published. My professor saw my passion to help my classmates and suggested that I consider teaching (oh, what a scary thought!). My severe stage fright made that suggestion impossible, so I started thinking about opening my own independent publishing company. After a lot of research and training in editing, designing and (of course) publishing, Belton Cottage Publishing was born.

It is our mission to give a voice to the new and emerging author who needs a break and not able to self-publish for whatever reason. Our focused genre is Young Adult and will consider the sub-genres of science fiction, fantasy, romance, and mystery.
