The Ismael Mathay Sr. High School Volleyball Team came up just short of securing a spot at the division level after a hard-fought defeat to Tandang Sora National High School in the championship match of the Quezon City-Wide Schools Division Cup District 6 held on October 26.

Despite a fiery start from Mathay, TSNHS found its groove just in time to force a fifth and deciding set.

IMSHS still sends its sincere congratulations to the players and coaching staff for their commendable effort and hard work in representing the school's colors in this competition.

We are proud of you!

Severa makes history as the first-ever president of the CD6 Guild, an organization newly established this year to empower campus journalists across District 6.

Alongside Severa, the following journos from IMSHS were also elected as officers: Zoe Neanne Sanchez (Vice President), Cyrus CapariΓ±o (Secretary), and April Casco (Treasurer).

The event gathered around 25 student leaders and campus journalists from various District 6 schools, including New Era High School, Tandang Sora High School, Sauyo High School, Melchora Aquino High School, Acelina Montessori School, Inc., and Ismael Mathay Sr. High School.

The officers have already rolled out their plans and activities for the school year with the guidance of this year’s guild adviser, Mr. Ramil Jhon P. Magno, and his co-adviser, Mr. Noli Alcoriza.

The exit points, time of exit, and the evacuation areas were also evaluated during the drill.

To ensure that Ismaelians demonstrate the necessary precautions during emergencies, the school is set to conduct more unannounced drills in the coming weeks.

PRAYER BRIGADE | The Philippines has been shaken this October. With strong earthquakes striking Luzon (La Union), Visayas (Cebu), and Mindanao (Davao) in just ten days, let's unite in prayer for everyone's safety and resilience.

-----
O God, we, Ismaelians, come to you with heavy yet hopeful hearts. The earth has quaked in Baguio-La Union, Cebu, and Davao, and many of our fellow countrymen are in pain, are frightened, and are not sure about what is going to happen next.

Please, Lord, enfold them in your consolation. Grant them the power to reconstruct, the bravery to stand again, and the certainty that they have not been deserted.

We also lift up Metro Manila and the rest of our nation to your care. Please keep our city safe from aftershocks and further harm. Lord, pacify the ground beneath us and guard every household, every kid, every fight who is in Your presence tonight, scared and praying. Show us that Your mercy is always greater than any disaster.

Bestow wise and compassionate hearts upon those who are dealing with the crisis, like our rescuers, leaders, and even the ordinary citizens, moved by kindness. Let their deeds radiate Your light amid the dark and trembling times. Make this an event that will not only instill fear but also bring us together in faith and unity.

O Lord, let peace be restored in the land. Make our hearts stronger, direct our hands, and let our spirits remain unshaken. We place our trust in You, our refuge, our shield, and our everlasting foundation.

Amen.

THANK YOU, TEACHERS| Yesterday, Ismael Mathay Sr. High School celebrated World Teachers' Day, honoring the sacrifices of IMSHS teachers who selflessly provide guidance despite their own personal challenges.

Though the celebration has concluded, our appreciation, respect, and love for our teachers remain constant.

To continue the tribute, we ask: What's the most unforgettable gift or surprise you've ever given to your teachers? Feel free to tag them as well.
