FIRST WEEK FEELS | From new faces to fresh routines, the first week of school at IMSHS is officially in the books.

Each day brought its own surprises and challenges — from meeting new classmates to adjusting to new teachers — but all signs point to an exciting and memorable school year ahead.

CLUB FAIR 2025 | With the goal to boost club membership by showcasing the diverse range of clubs and organizations within the school, the Supreme Secondary Learner's Government (SSLG) of Ismael Mathay Sr. High School spearheaded the Club Fair 2025, June 20.

Each club prepared fun-filled games and interactive booths for Junior and Senior High School students from 8:30AM onwards.

EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS | To prepare Ismaelians in case of an earthquake, Ismael Mathay Sr. High School took part in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) June 19.

This marked the first earthquake drill held at the campus for the current academic year.

The drill was part of NDRRMC’s effort to strengthen disaster readiness in schools and communities.

THE SEARCH FOR NEW JR EIC | Do you have what it takes to be the next Junior Editor-in-Chief of The IMSHS Progress for the Academic Year 2025-2026?

This week marks the beginning of the selection process for all the Grade 10 students under the journalism program.

They will undergo several writing assessments, a leadership test, and an election to determine the next chief of the batch.

BRIGADA BEGINS | Bringing together teachers, students, parents, and community partners, Ismael Mathay Sr. High School officially kicked off Brigada Eskwela 2025, June 9, to prepare Ismaelians for the new school year.

The opening event was also followed by an explanation of the school's student handbook and a classroom orientation for grades 7 and 8.

INKED LEGACY | Concluding the week-long campus journalism workshop of The IMSHS Progress, aspiring campus journalists brought INKSPIRE 3.0 to a close with a celebration of teamwork, talent, and dedication.

Instead of lectures, participants engaged in eight interactive game stations, where nine groups competed in challenges that tested their communication, discipline, and teamwork.

The day ended with an awarding and recognition ceremony, honoring both the participants and organizers who helped make the four-day journey a success.

INKSPIRE CONTINUES | Returning to their classrooms for the 2nd day of INKSPIRE, June 3, the aspiring student journalists participated in the hands-on training sessions, fun-filled activities, and interactive discussions, which helped them sharpen their skills in writing, editing, and photojournalism.
