Every body was confused at the group c final group games involving Nigeria Vs Egypt and Zambia Vs Malawi, because most people are not familiar with the CAF regulations for the the 2026 WAFCON.Even players and officials of Nigeria, Malawi and Zambia were confused because they are new to that situation.Those of us that knew and understood the 2026 WAFCON CAF competition regulations knew that the Super Falcons only needed to defeat Egypt by 1-0 to qualify hoping that Zambia did not defeat Malawi by 4-3 ,5-4 or as the case may be. Any other result apart from these scorelines will confirm the Super Falcons qualification for the quarter finals of the competition.Even when the referee blew the final whistle in the Zambia Vs Malawi match ,the Malawians had to wait for about five minutes before they realised that they are through to the quarter finals.An interesting scenario really played out last night and at the end it was the Malawians and Nigerians that finally made it through owning to their CAF mini league results.

Chiamaka Nnadozie contributed to the three goals conceded by the Super Falcons against Malawi ,but we should not be too quick to forget how Chiamaka have saved the country numerously when called upon.Every player often have an off day and the game against Malawi was actually her off day.I have seen numerous criticism against the Falcons No 1,and I think they are uncalled for.
Coach Magudu also have a share of the blame in that defeat.Why play some players out of position in such a crucial encounter that was not a friendly, knowing fully well that the world cup tickets was on the line.
The Falcons will learn from that experience and will surely bounce back.

Our DM was filled with questions from our fans.
Every one was asking why did Roderigo Hernandez(RODRI)win the best player(Golden ball) award for the just concluded 2026 FIFA world cup ahead of Lionnel Messi and Killian Mbappe and here are the reasons.
Rodri was the Engine room of the Spain world cup winning side,as a defensive midfielder he controlled every Spain game,and was the Spain link Man between the defence and the attack.He made a total of 794 touches, more touches than every single player and also made 753 passes with 94% accuracy which is more passes than any player in a single word cup.
FIFA usually give the golden ball to the player on the winning side and Rodri was on the Spain title winning side.He is the eleventh player to win the world cup, champions league,and the Ballon d'or.
Rodri is a four times English premiership winner with Manchester City,a one time champions league winner,one time FIFA club world cup winner,a multiple English FA cup and league cup winner.
Let us also remember that he won EURO 2024 and the 2023 Nations league with Spain.
Rodrigo Hernandez is a complete player and deserve the golden ball award,judging by his performance at the world cup.

Who win the 2026 FIFA world cup? as all is now set for the semi-final of the biggest sports competition in the World.For the first time in the history of the FIFA world cup the top four teams in the FIFA world ranking will play in the Semi finals of the world cup.
France vs Spain and Argentina vs England.
So far the French team have been clinical,dispatching both Senigal,Iraq and Norway in the group stage,scoring ten times and conceded twice.They defeated both Sweden, Paraguay and Morocco to set up a mouth watering Semi final against Spain.
The Spanish national team as we all know are used to playing good and entertaining football,usually a delight to watch.With star boy Lamine Yamal Spain scored eleven goals and conceded just twice on their way to the Semi final where they are billed to face France.
Argentina on their own part have not faced a top ten FIFA ranking opposition on their way to the world cup semi final,playing England stands as the biggest test for the raining world champions.Lionel Messi has been superb at this world cup but how they reacts against an English team with vast experience having scored thirteen goals and conceded six time remained to be seen.We are waiting to see how Leonel Messi and Argentina will react to an English side that is playing in their fourth world cup semi final and three successive quarter final at the world cup.
The big question is,who among France,Spain, England and Argentina will play in the final of the 2026 FIFA world cup,and which country will win the world cup?

European teams are struggling at the 2026 world cup because of the weather.The weather in the USA,Canada and Mexica is favourable to African teams while South and Noth American sides can boast of territorial advantage.European teams that survive the group stage will pickup and eventually do well in the tournament.African teams apart from South Africa and Tunisia have so far posted decent performances and there is the believe across the continent that an African side can win the world cup.
