While Kamala Harris attempts to scare voters with the fantasy that abortion is at risk in this year’s election (1), her plan for Michigan and the country is far more radical, endangering women, parents, young children, and all taxpayers.

• Harris not only supports abortion through 9 months of pregnancy, she voted AGAINST requiring medical providers to care for children born alive after a failed abortion.
• She wants you to foot the bill, voting to force taxpayers to fund abortion.
• Harris opposes the bipartisan Hyde Amendment, saying “I have been firm in my stance on the Hyde Amendment: It must be repealed.” Overturning Hyde would open the floodgates of
federal taxpayer dollars to expand unlimited abortion nationwide!
• Kamala’s running mate, Tim Walz, is just as extreme. And their Chicago nominating convention shocked the nation with a FREE abortion mobile clinic.

There is no national political party that champions the sanctity of life.

Now what?

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins and Washington Stand Senior Writer Suzanne Bowdey have already written forcefully on this topic. They have urged believers to continue to speak the truth to both parties, “find the candidate that most closely aligns with your biblical values,” and “refuse to disengage.” In this piece, I will follow those efforts by briefly exploring times that our spiritual ancestors have faced similar difficulties on similar issues, and suggest two concrete policy priorities: protect pregnancy resource centers and fight to remove federal funding for abortion businesses.

God demands that we continue the fight faithfully for the innocent, the women who carry them, and the rest of our fellow Americans (Proverbs 24:11-12).
