Taking the name from the bold declaration by the immortal Terrence Mckenna as an inspiration, “Culture Is Not Your Friend!” was an online music magazine that focused itself on music that escapes the center, the mainstream, the culture. Christmas Is Not Your Friend – Volume Eleven

Here we are.

2024 is almost over. Are monsters really everywhere? Is there indeed no future? It's easy to imagine such a deadlock precisely because it's almost impossible to imagine a good future anymore. Gnawing almost a quarter of a century off the wall, a serious critic of mankind's progression will have a hard time defending such progress on a long enough timeline. This can be Climate change, War, Economy, local and global politics, Nuclear threats and – yes, AI.

But on these holidays, be it of any kind, depending on your belief and also the lack of it, we Culture Is Not Your Friend! Invites you to imagine – REALLY imagine what a good future means for you, for your loved ones, for your country, for the world. Imagination can be wild, and that's the reason why sometimes it is pushed under the rug for a more efficient mode of thinking, more suited for culture. But imagination is the key to change for the better.

As always – we are ever grateful for the many artists who have contributed original music for this festive compilation. Without you there's even less imagination!
