"in debt since 1991" Jerry Wick and Bela Koe-Krompecher started Anyway under the guise of a project for Jerry’s excellent Midwestern band, Gaunt.

Starting in the pre-text world of vinyl records and shiny over-priced compact discs, Anyway Records was founded on the assumption that music is to be found in our own backyards and meant to be cheap and affordable, like the founders themselves. Smug Brothers have a new single out tomorrow (3/7/25) called Take It Out On Me” via Anyway Records! The single will be streaming on all your favorite streaming services tomorrow, however the world premiere of “Take It Out On Me” premieres TODAY on Austin Town Hall!

This is the first single off their upcoming LP “Stuck On Beta” (out 6/6/25 via Anyway Records, distributed by Midheaven/Revolver), and is paired with a non-album track “Constellation of Eight”.
