On February 8th, a local concert is dedicated to the memories of every tragic loss by increasing su***de prevention, awareness and education. The GNL Rocks Music Benefit is being held to remember the son, brother, and friend, Gabriel Nicholas Lopez, who died in 2018. We’ll be talking to the organizer of this event and the mother of Gabriel, Angela Finn. All proceeds will benefit counseling and su***de education agencies in our area, including Kelly's Grief Center. Plus, we feature two of the bands performing, Librarians With Hickeys and The Tufted Puffins.

We’re joined by Quire Cleveland's Artistic Director, Jay White, to learn about the choir, the inspiration and process of creating this year’s holiday repertoire and what carols you’ll need to learn for the audience participation bit. You can catch this year’s Quire Cleveland performances at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church on Friday the 20th, Our Lady of Peace Church on Saturday the 21st or St. Peter Catholic Church on Sunday the 22nd.

A new graphic novel, "Hey You Punks!", detailing life in Cleveland's gritty West Side in the 1970s is available now. Author Don Billie will be at Visible Voice Books on October 26th for a signing and reading! We've got him on this episode to learn more about the release. This week, we have local author Jill Grunenwald - Writer with us to talk about her latest book “Reading Behind Bars”, which is an insider’s story of being a Prison Librarian. The book is out now and you can catch her locally at book readings and signings including August 28th at Westlake Porter Public Library and September 14th at Learned Owl in Hudson.

We have Erin O'Brien, co-author of a new book chronicling burlesque entertainment in Cleveland called, “Rust Belt Burlesque - The Softer Side of a Heavy Metal Town” which is out now. It traces the history of burlesque in Cleveland from the mid-1800s to the present day, while also telling the story of Bella Sin, a Mexican immigrant who largely drove Northeast Ohio’s neo-burlesque comeback.
