I’m so honored to have had my song Symbiocene be included in the second volume of the Echoes for Palestine compilation album.

Echoes for Palestine, Volume 2 continues as a heartfelt offering of solidarity and compassion — a project lovingly curated by Rafael Diogo (Deep Dive Sound) in collaboration with Cities and Memory , with every penny raised going directly to Hope and Play, in support of the children of Gaza.

Following the spirit of the first volume, this new chapter deepens the journey and gathers another wave of powerful soundworks from artists across the world — each one a gesture of empathy, a vibration of care. From shimmering ambient fields layered with echoes of home and exile, to experimental textures and fractured rhythms; from field recordings that blur into the hum of wind and wire, to cinematic crescendos, the pulse of electronic dreams, and gentle acoustic songs that rise like prayers, carrying both grief and grace in equal measure — these 25 tracks trace a living map of emotion and remembrance.

Each track is a fragment of landscape — the breath of a city, the crackle of a radio, the hush before dawn. Together, they form an emotional cartography of Palestine — its fragility, its persistence, its music of survival.

This album is more than a compilation; it is a chorus of voices reaching across borders, an act of listening as resistance, and a reminder that sound can heal, reveal, and unite. By being part of this journey — by listening, sharing, or purchasing — you are helping to carry light, creativity, and hope to the children of Gaza.

When your music studio turns into a Samhain altar and ritual space.

Making music is a ritual, is ceremony.

As Samhain ushers in the darkness after the last harvest to prepare for winter, hibernation mode in Montana winter is a great time to nourish creative channels.

Especially as the veil is thinnest to receive inspiration from the other side and pre-colonial ancestors.

The United States continues to commit gside against Indigenous People here, while using its settler colonial military outpost of Israel to commit gside of the Indigenous People of Palestine.

Just as the Indigenous People here continue to resist and fight for their liberation, so do the Indigenous People of Palestine resist and fight for their home.

Colonization is an ongoing ceaseless project at a global scale, and won’t end until Euro-American Zionist imperialism falls and the land is restored to all colonized people.

The first photo is of the Two Medicine Valley that is sacred to the Piikuni (Blackfeet) people. The land was stolen to create Glacier Park.

The second photo is taken from the Beartracks bridge in Missoula, MT where a band of Salish had to cross the Clark Fork River during their Trail of Tears.

The song We are Notes of the Cosmos was born out of a period of stagnation and I honestly have a very hard time being creative when I’m not in an awesome expansive place.

So I have to remind myself of the healing and momentum building power of creativity.
